This class is open to all dancers, age 9 and up, who are currently actively participating in a dance class at The Dance Foundation or elsewhere. Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best. One of the important elements used in the PBT method is muscle memory which helps to improve students’ understanding of core stability, weight placement and alignment. This class is led by Ariana Pellegra, certified PBT instructor.
Students participate in PBT classes in person. Students must bring their own yoga mat and theraband. Students who have experience in PBT may request to participate by Zoom instead of in person and should have a yoga mat, theraband, small fit ball, and large fit ball.
