FEBRUARY 13

The Groove for Ages 9-12 / all levels, age 9-12
With Kat Files
12:35-1:45pm
In “The Groove,” students will have an hour to hour and a half long class filled with music that encourages freestyle and contemporary movement. Students will create one-of-a kind Tik Tok style grooves and dances, while developing their own style and using their technical abilities to enhance the choreography. Every class includes a warm up/stretch. Then the creative portion of class will begin. Students will hear a song, and based on rhythmic patterns of the music, decide what individual moves they’d like to see in the end-of-class dance/combo. Together we will create a final dance/combo based on what the students have created in class and a general foundation of movement that I will teach for each song. Think dance class instruction turned dance party based on popular dances and songs.
